Community: Deeply embedded in our values is a strong social responsibility. Community involvement and sustainability are at the core of our business model. We want local communities to feel comfortable with and proud of our renewable energy projects.
Our solar generation sites will as far as is practical allow agriculture and livestock agistment to continue. Wherever we operate and for each project we develop, we think about and take deliberate action to engage with local communities and work to understand thier needs and create economic opportunity.
We respect the local population and ensure all stakeholders’ interests are considered.
Environment: We seek to preserve and protect the environment in everything we do and strive to make a positive difference.
Health, Safety and Security: At all of our development sites and operating locations, PEARL provides a safe, healthy and secure workplace for all stakeholders including employees, contractors, partners and members of the public.
With a “Zero harm to people” policy and work practices to meet that policy Pearl will ensure the safety of our stakeholders.
Project Governance: Pearl adopts and applies the Equator Principles* in every project it develops. This practice is consistent with good financial governance and world class environmental and stakeholder care. We adhere to international anti-corruption, bribery and money laundering laws as well as the UN Principles for Responsible Investment.
*The Equator Principles set out a risk management framework, adopted by financial institutions, for determining, assessing and managing environmental and social risk in project finance. It is primarily intended to provide a minimum standard for due diligence to support responsible decision making.
